Holes

Way too cold to hang on the beach or by the pool so we did the dreaded mall thing. I am NOT a shopper but it was warm. Big news: I finally let J get her ears pierced. She sat still as a mouse, didn't flinch, or scream. Yay!

She's been responsible enough lately to earn it. She's been admiring herself all afternoon in the mirror. ;-) She even managed to keep it a secret from Daddy G during their "good night" call so that he can be surprised in the morning when he sees her. Now if I can just keep my big mouth shut.

Pics when we get home cause this computer is slower than molasses.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be up to 73. Hoping....

Wow, what a nice treat for Miss J to earn herself! I bet she looks stunning, and I would think that having her ears pierced will be one more thing that reinforces her role as Awesome Big Sister!

Of course, those earrings might spark off Daddy G's protective Daddy instincts so he can start writing his questionaire for potential Prince Charmings (a long way off I know.)

Enjoy your morning!

I remember when Miss M had her ears pierced, I had my 2nd holes done at that time...it was fun! Congrats J! Now, mom, you get to decide which earrings she can and can't wear, lol, always brings on a talk about the word APPROPRIATE in our house.

I bet she looks adorable with her ears pierced!!

My husband called me one day while we were shopping at WalMart and said, "If you want to see H get her ears pierced you better get over here." Uuuummmm....o.k. She was only 4 and she sat still and never cried. Husbands!!

My 4, almost 5 year old daughter keeps asking me when she's going to get holes in her ears. I remind her all the time it's called pierced, but she doesn't care. I'm thinking that I'll do it on her birthday in July.

Yay J!!

My 5 year old daughter got her ears pierced when she cut off all her hair in Kindergarten (bangs and an inch and a half back, whacked down to the scalp). She cried because she looked so much like a boy so I decided to pierce her ears.

I got my ears pierced for a 13th birthday present. My little sister (age 11) got hers pierced the same day. Isn't it funny that I'm still upset about something that happened 26 years ago!

Whoops, it's not about me, back to J. YAY J!! Congrats on earning this privilege.

Sorry the weather isn't cooperating. :) I trust you will post pictures of J. with ears pierced. Both my girls love having earring on and they do look darn cute. Both my boys want earrings desperately and actually eldest has the remnants of what must have been a pierced ear as an infant/toddler but my 4 year old would like pierced ears so he can wear "gold-hooped earrings with hearts." ;=)

Crossing my fingers for lots of fun as you enjoy your last few weeks/days with just one daughter.
