Various

There's a new addiction in this household. Scrapbooking. After we came home from NY, my best friend created a scrapbook for J to remember the trip. She finished it a few weeks ago and I was enthralled with the book. Now I'm trying to learn how to be crafty. It's a dangerous thing. Also very stressful because I'm not crafty naturally. I struggle and over think every stinking thing. At the moment I'm trying to create a scrapbook for J with all her worldly travels. Currently it takes me 4 hours to do 3 pages. At this rate I may never be done.

Picky Puddin is on a self-imposed fast. The stinker won't eat anything. I hate it when she does this. I wish she would march herself to the pantry and announce which dinner she would eat so that I didn't open 5 different cans only to have her turn her nose up. So far her face drips with disdain whenever I open Grammy's Pot Pie, Harvest Moon, Thanksgiving Day Dinner, Turducken, Wingaling, or Smothered Comfort. This is the only brand that she has consistently eaten so I suck it up and get it for her. She will.not.eat.dry.food.of.any.kind. I found out the hard way. Please don't ask.

Tomorrow morning we'll leave and be at the lake for a week. No internet. Boo. Although there will be much swimming and tubing going on. I am armed with books and scrapbooking stuff.
I will miss all of you. Don't do anything really exciting while I'm gone. K?

I love scrapbooking stuff. The organizers thingies and all the stuff but.... I have a confession.... I was going to save it for a Too True Tuesday, but the truth is... I hate it. There. I said it.

I am super slow at scrapbooking, too. I have T pick out the pictures and colors which speeds things up a lot because I can never decide. 4 hours for 3 pages...sounds like you are going at my pace! Have fun on vaca!

I have been addicted to scrapbooking for the past 7 years. I love to do it when all of my kids are asleep and it's quite. It's so relaxing. I know of some really great idea books from Close to My Heart. They help take away the struggle of figuring out what to do with your layout.

Oh, have a good time at the lake, although you will be missed.

Have you looked into digital scrapbooking? It takes up less space, and is quicker, I have found. Scrapbooking is fun and addictive for sure!

I think I have this crafty side to me, but I can't do scrapbooking.

I keep thinking about taking up scrapbooking but I'm not crafty either. I also think I'd become a little obsessed! It just seems like it would be such a good, winter evening bonding activity. Can you post a picture or two of your creations?? I need inspiration!

Have a great time at the lake!!

Have fun at the lake!!!! I make scrap books for our foster children to take when they leave. Easy. Fun. Quick. But when it comes to making one for me, I just AGONIZE over where to begin - all the details and design decisons - I just can't seem to make one for me!!!! Good Luck - and share some pages for inspiration.
