Wow!

My super cool kid mowed the grass for the first time today. She's been begging to mow it for 3 weeks. I didn't let her do it cause I thought she'd start and not be able to finish cause in case you didn't notice the pic above, there is no motor on my mower so it's not easy.
I thought she wouldn't make it through one lap. She did the front yard AND the back yard. AND she did an amazing job! My kid impresses me more and more each day! It may never happen again but it did today and she was begging Papa & Monya to let her mow their grass too. :)
Don't anybody worry....it won't cut moving backwards so no toes will be missing. :)

It is great that not only did she want to mow, but she was capable of finishing. Hats off to one super cool kid!

Lisa,
We have 1.5 acres...times 2...so that would definitely be a good energy burner for a certain two boys. :) Go J!!!

Blessings!

Congrats J. That is amazing! We use that kind of lawn mower too as that is the only way i feel safe having my Chet mow!

How funny! My Jordan has been begging to mow the grass too and I have not let her because I have a gas powered mower. I also have a service, but I let her do a bit of the front yard yesterday. She loved it.

Nice Job, J!!

Wow, that looks heavy and I know those are hard to push!

I am waiting for Genea and Teena to get big enough to use the washer.

Awesome job, Kid!

I think mowing must be good for some kids. Older Kid loves to mow! In fact, his very first visit to our house, he was up at 6 am and asking to mow.

I've been wanting a push mower like that for a long time. When Jupiter gets big enough she will LOVE it for muscle work. It'll be great for sensory! Go J! You rock!

That is great! My oldest kids are cutting our grass this year and so far so good. I thought the same thing they would do one lap and be done.

Oooh! We just spent $100 to fix a lawn mower that Bear claimed he knew what he was doing and proceeded to absolutely trash (had to rebuild the carburator, replace the spark plugs, dump out the oil and refill with the correct amount... and the self-propel is still broken as is the gas tank). I never thought about a push mower! Lot fewer parts!

Thanks for the idea!! Congrats to J too! If she can do it, then my big 16 yr old son won't be able to complain it's too hard!

Hey Lisa. I just want to say thank you for your support and suggestions. I haven't really thought about the fact that making "real friends" is of no interest to a child with attachment issues. DUH. How could I have not thought about that? Well, thank you for pointing out such an obvious situation. I do hope that the finalization of their adoption will help with so many of their issues. Holding out that hope anyway. :) Thank you for your time and support. It is much appreciated!!
