Oh Crap!

The toothfairy forgot to come last night. No fairy dust, no treat. Oh no.
How am I going to get out of this one????

Snow!
Traffic jam!
Too many customers last night!
It was her night off!
She has a 48 hour turnaround!
Hurricane in the tropics!
She hurt a wing screwing around and could not fly last night!
She did not listen to her mother and so she didn't wake up in time!

Hope it helps!

Sometimes the fairy comes but can't make it to the bed if there is any clutter on the floor. Tell her to clean up and try again!

One of my kids finally just asked me to PLEASE hand over the dollar, because it had been some time that he tried the pillow to no avail. :)

lol, I was going to say what tricia said...up north here, maybe the tooth fairy encountered too much snow to get south yesterday.

Due to budge cuts because of the recession the tooth fairy is off on Wednesdays.

Perhaps a nap is in order today? Then the tooth fairy might make it in?

Oh, geesh, I've done this so many times! We were glad when the gig was up and could just hand our kids the money.

Until then, put the stuff under your pillow with note from the tooth fairy stating she didn't want to wake the kids and wanted you to supervise the drama.

Oh no, I did this once on accident too! I just told her that the tooth fairy had the night off and will be there that night for sure. She just gets to busy with all the little kids around the world losing there teeth and needs a night off sometimes. Good luck! I hope she isn't to mad. :)

We do the Magic Mouse. She comes only if kids sleep through the whole night. Let's mom off the hook often!

Ooops! Well, it's happened here, if that makes you feel any better.

Perhaps she will realize that the only real constant, reliable force in her life is not the "toothfairy," but her mother. Blame it on the alter-ego! ;-)

A letter of apology from the Faery in sparkly pen (Lisa, I bet you have these things, you have two little girls!) should fix things right up and, thinking as a future AT here, maybe reinforce the idea of everyone, even grown ups and faeries, making mistakes and having to apologise?

Personally I like the budget cuts comment! I've done this so many times. Sometimes the kids give up because she is so late. So for you I might say she's stuck in MN with her wings frozen. Has to wait until it's all clear~good luck!

The tooth fairy always seems to be running behind schedule when it comes to my kids' teeth too. I just have to remind them that she ISNT like Santa...she doesnt have to do it all in one night, she cant...no reigndeer, and her wings are so small. fast, but small. She will get to their teeth, sometimes she just has sooo many to do, she falls behind a little.

the tooth fairy misses our house alot. She is very busy! So we send her emails to remind her and wonder of wonders, she writes back! lol

I just told my kids that their stressed out Mama had forgotten to send the e-mail to the tooth fairy and that I'd try to remember that night (that way if I forgot again - yes it's happened! I was still covered.)

I've also quickly hid it somewhere else where I knew they hadn't looked yet and claimed the toothfairy hadn't been able to find the tooth (this worked really well for my daughter with a billion pillows and stuffed animals on her bed). One time the toothfairy accidentally dropped the money on the stairs on her way to our son's room.
