A Date with Clint

My big night out consisted of PF Changs and Clint Eastwood. Gran Torino was an excellent movie. It surprised me by being a very touching movie on many levels. I've never been a big Clint fan so I was kind of shocked. Yeah, we were supposed to see Revolutionary Road but GT started earlier so that settled the discussion. It was so nice to be out with adults and have adult conversations. My goal is to try to have a night out at least every other week even if it's just to the library.

Have you noticed J is working the sister thing? I asked for her opinion on the subject and we discussed that it might be a possibility and she's going to town with it now. She also understands that it might not happen too so I'm encouraged to see her using the word "might" in her blog. The chances of it happening are very slim so I don't want to get her hopes up too high.

Plain noodles.....the last three times we've had spaghetti she has been adamant that she wants plain noodles with no sauce. Well Toyota, you asked for it, you got it. L & L baby. Wonder if she'll ask for plain noodles again?

She has been a grumpy girl today. Starting to pick up a pattern here. Every Tuesday = Grumpy Girl. Day before therapy, Tuesday Tantrums, trying to divine the reason why and figure out a solution. It seems to be the only day that she's out of sorts. Maybe I need to change it up and do Reiki on Monday nights instead? Regression therapy on Monday....
I'm just not sure but I aim to come up with a solution. Hoping anyway..... ;-)

Yeah, I wasn't quite sure what was going on with the sister thing.

And Gran Torino is something I definitely want to see!

I want to see Grand Torino SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. Everyone that has seen it has raved and raved about how good it is.

My kids eat noodles with no sauce too. What's up with that? I just melt a little butter and pour over them and then let them have loose on the Parmesan Cheese. Whatever floats your boat I guess!!

I never ate sauce on my noodles until I was in my twenties!! I always preferred it with a little butter and a little salt or garlic salt.
Go figure.

I liked Grand Torino too. Very good.

Also, love plain noodles, well, with butter, salt, and garlic.

My kids eat naked noodles too. Kids are weird, that is my only conclusion.
I LOVE pfchangs. One of the BEST restaurants I have ever been to. SOOOOO good. We don't have one here of course.

I haven't been to see a movie in a theater for a while. Gran Torina is the one that will get me there.

The deal with plain noodles at my house is that the kids have to first eat some with whatever kind of sauce there is. Then they can eat them plain until the cows come home.

I'll have to go see Gran Torino. Thanks! As for the grouchies the day before, my kids would do that too. They know they are going to have to deal with hard stuff. Does she journal? If you don't have time to do it every day that might be a good day to make sure she does. Or make it a day to do things for someone less fortunate, bake cookies for a shut in or something. Take her mind off herself.

My hub and I loved Gran Torino. It was really awesome. Spaghetti being one of my fave foods, I love it with sauce AND without. Just butter and cheese on it is wonderful!

I LOVE Adult conversation! Oh HOw I love adult conversation.. My friends take that for granted. Sometimes it's hard for me to decompress though from engineering moment to moment.

I've considered adopting again too, but Mr is so jealous of anyone else including my husband and the dog. He doesn't get that love isn't a commodity.

I have a couple of kids that wait until they are sure I have already added the sauce to the noodles to ask for them plain. It's a game for them to find ways to be miserable. I now keep out a few and offer them. LOL No takers, yet.
