Lost: Half a Dog

Before:

After:

I can't believe how much Puddin had grown out. Seriously, like half of her has disappeared. Freaky.

It was a clothes shopping weekend. Shopping really stresses me out. When I do go I am a woman on a mission. J has outgrown EVERYTHING. Those cute little bathing suits (never worn) that I got her in October at Myrtle Beach (home of the cheap swimsuit) are never going to grace her body. Nope. I had to cry a little over that. Play clothes, go-to-town clothes, socks, underwear, belts, sandals, etc. Nothing fits. Talk about stressful. This required a LOT of shopping. She was swimming in a 6x for almost 2 years. In November she moved to swimming in a 7. Now she's jumped to a 9/10. Yikes.

Saturday night after picking up Puddin in Atlanta we stopped by Tarzhay and I got her 5 play outfits. No trying on mind you.... Nope. Grabbed them and ran. Sunday morning she tried them on and and 2 shorts and 2 shorts had to be returned. Too small. So G came over and talked us into sushi so we returned the favor by talking him into shopping. Hee hee. Never ever take G shopping unless you are expecting to do some mighty buying. 7 go-to-town outfits, 2 new pajamas, 2 dresses, 6 play outfits and all the acroutrements that go with them. My budget was so relieved. ;-)

J's closet has been cleaned out, reorganized and everything has been packed away for K's arrival. New clothes have been ironed and put away. The cutest shoes, dresses, capri outfits, etc. Someone failed to tell me that all the cute clothes stop at 6x.

J is doing state testing today so it's taken me all day to get this post completed. More to come later....

It's 80 degrees outside!

I hate it when blogger takes out all my paragraph lines.

Dude, I feel your pain! Genea has been the same way. Something about a stable safe home and these kids just shoot up health wise and size wise.
It will be nice now when you can save the better clothes and stuff that never fit for the next child......

Tell me about the growth spurts!!! YIKES Miss M's feet grew from girls size 11/12 to adult 5/6 sometimes 7! in like 6 months.

And I have a boy yet to go through those growth spurts!!! WHo I think might be of the 6'6" variety!! CRAZY!

Love the pics of puddin'!

That's like with grown-ups - all the cute clothes stop after a size six.

THAT IS NOT THE SAME DOG!

Aw, Puddin is GORGEOUS! I'm glad she's home from her debut all trimmed up and happy. And now Mama can stop worrying about her! ;-)

Yay for G! Send him this way, please. Miss S has grown 2" since November.

Aww. Puddin is so cute. Doesn't even look like the same dog. BTW, we are supposed to get 14 inches of snow tomorrow. Ish.

Jupiter has been in a nonstop growth spurt I think since she came home...every time I think she's slowed down I blink and there she is taller and taller. I'll have to install taller ceilings!

Puddin is a doll!!!

Clothes shopping is a never ending activity in this house. Alyssa is constantly changing. Her feet have gone from a kids size 5 to a womans size 7 in ONE month. Not to mention the pants. Everything has to be tried on because she is short but has a bit butt! Oh and lets not forget shirts. She is developing and needs to wear a bra every day so all shirts have to hide the bra! UGH!

Top that off with the fact that she is so fussy, no wonder I'm nuts!

(I know, there are many more reasons than that!)

Puddin looks so great now! I have heard from more than one foster/adoptive parent that children grow on love. Looks like it is true for J too. Especially since she started to LET your love in.
