No More Whispering Allowed

Yesterday I was a less than stellar mother. Blech. I sucked at it. Something happened after dinner and it was all downhill from there. She lost her temper then I jumped in the fire with her. Understandable for J but I hate it when I do it. Yuck. Yuck and double yuck. I went in her room after all was calm and apologized for losing my temper. She said, "Mom, I'm sorry I lost my temperature too." ;-)

It was too late for restitution last night so this morning she had chocolate from me. J then reciprocated by drying my hair so all is well. We're both in a better mood today.

My worker has talked to the K's worker. We're supposed to talk this afternoon. Trying to put my patience panties on but dang it's hard.

Check out Dia. Just click here.

I got a new bra on clearance last night...I wonder if it's a patience bra?

I am so excited for you...and for me...and for you... :)

Blessings!

I appreciate your honesty and your ability to own it and then change it up! You are an inspiration.

I will be holding my breath until I hear all about K!

I have lost my temper, too. More than I would like to admit actually. We are all only human :)

I hate it when I yell at my kids (which I do all of the time). It sucks rocks!!

I would tell you to put on those patient panties and hope for the best but I am the most inpatient person ever--oh well. Put them on and hope for the best!!

patience panties, I am getting all kinds of visuals here.... a little weird....
I think it is a good thing for us parents to lose it once in awhile. It is a good reminder for the kids that yeah, even your mom is a real person.

Patience is one of the hardest things to have in surplus.

You do a damn good job, by my definition.

Everyone's entitled to lose it, every once in awhile!

oh thank you for sharing!! I hate the days when I lose my patience...and in hindsight think about all the myriad ways I could have handled things differently/better, if only I had thought to do _______. thanks for the blog support :)

Don't sweat the small stuff Lisa! You are human and have bad days too!

You modeled appropriate behavior by apologizing and J sees that everyone has rough spots.

You are an AWESOME MOM!!!
